GMICSN is the voice of the independent sector in Greater Manchester. It is a new initiative, a collaboration of the independent sector with local authority and health colleagues, to bring together a network of providers of care for older people across the GM area and to link that network with the work of the GM Health and Social Care Partnership and be a strong constructive voice for care providers.

GMICS Network Manifesto: For Care We Can Be Proud Of.

This is a key points ‘manifesto’ setting out who the Greater Manchester Independent Care Sector Network (GMICS Network) is, what and who it represents, what its aims are, what it sets as its goals and what it identifies as shared goals with key stakeholder partners for planning and delivering care and support to citizens of GM.

NEW!  The launch of the GMICS Network’s Commissioning Charter.

Commissioning with GM Providers: GMICS Network Good Practice Principles / KPIs

This charter is to share the Greater Manchester Independent Care Sector Network (GMICS Network) Board perspective on the components of good commissioning with providers and with other partners. It is also to look at some ways of measuring and monitoring practice through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) so we can review progress as part of the work we do with the GM Health and Social Care Partnership and with localities.

Like any Charter it is meant, hopefully, for use rather than ornament and we will keep the Charter under review to make sure it is fit for purpose, kept up to date and we will take into account the comments we get back from GMICS Network members and our partners after the launch.
